Self done. Took me about 3 or 4 hours in all. Started of my wrapping my real dreads in everyday electrial tape. Used up about 5 rolls (paid about 3 dollars each roll) to get to the length and thickness I wanted. When I got my whole head wrapped, I didn't think it was really think enough. I needed something fun to add, and a friend reccommended boondoggle. To get the thickness and lenght I wanted *which was just past my knees* I added about 250 yards of the stuff,(paying about 2 dollars a yard) just tying it in at the roots. It was fairly cheap, looked very fun, and was nice for awhile, but it was WAY to heavy, for sure not something to try and keep in long term unless you want realy bad back problems sadly :(
When the weight got to be to much, it took about 4 hours to take out, the tape comes off easy no problem, but the inside *sticky stuff* of the tape stayed on my hair, which took a few washes to fully get out. The pastic strips took forever to get out, only because of the fact there was so much in it. The pix are are rather blurry sorry, but over all is results in real nice fun short term hair.
